Chillin in Japan/Chile

It started as was looked like a work function in a classroom at the base of some mountains with a group of work colleagues, including Steve. We were getting debriefed on what our plans were for the day and getting ready to go out. There was nothing very concrete it seemed, and was a very relaxed atmosphere, seemingly more leisurely than for work. We split into groups and went underground through several tunnels and an old rail train to get to the top of the mountain. When there, we looked east across the Pacific Ocean and could see a sparkling ocean and a city out in the distance. In a small cay at the edge of the water a whale did a flip out of the water and landed back in. A local Japanese businessman yelled at us in Japanese urgently, then said “big wave, big wave!”, which we understood. A massive wave caused by the whale headed our direction and we ran, with it catching up to us just as it was a couple feet high. It was entirely fun and not at all frightening. Me and Steve headed back down the mountain to our living quarters, and on the way there, near the abandoned train and between some fencing, we looked up in the distance and could see a hotel rising up in the distance. The hotel had several layers; each shaped like a level of a ship and connected by a staircase. The whole thing looked incredible and I believe the different “ship” levels had different names inscribed on the outside - the top level was something something “Cosmo” - in my mind, I thought: “oh, that makes sense, as it’s reaching the cosmos” and I wondered if the Las Vegas Cosmo was named similarly, although that is short for Cosmopolitan. I looked up again and a show was starting. The sky turned dark (seemingly night time) an authentic looking millennium falcon popped out and was being chased by at first several tie fighters then dozens, filling the darkened sky and a speaker boomed scenes from Star Wars (The Last Jedi I believe, or it may have been to be released footage from Ep. 10). The whole thing was incredible and I was able to record most of it on my phone. Steve missed most of it as he had headed back early; I think he was tired. I said hi to another group at the train, headed back through the tunnels, and into the living quarters, a moderate sized open staircase structure etched into the mountain, going up five floors, with rooms on each side. I actually wasn’t sure where my room was but had a feeling that it was on the top floor, so I made my way up there. I didn’t find my room but a middle aged woman there started talking to me about her kids. She was a long term resident at the house and asked me how long I was staying, what I thought about the $1million yearly rent (that was news to me) and what I thought about Chile (that’s apparently where we were now). I told her it was really a beautiful, breathtaking place and relayed seeing a whale earlier in the day, the backflip that it did, and the subsequent wave that chased after us. She told me that $1million was a lot but that for part term residents that wasn’t so bad (she was long term), and I could always AirBnB. I was growing tired of the conversation and asked her if she knew where I could find my room, and she started going on again about who she was rooming with, which turned out to be Kevin, who was also part of the larger group. She then started showing me her kids on her phone, and at this point I woke up to escape her droning. ————————— I think I had this dream because I am craving escape from the day to day work and CFA studying. I have also recently joined a travel forum on Facebook and their are many posts daily/hourly which only increases my desire to travel. The trip itself may have been for leisure but somehow felt like work, possibly because as I said work has become quite boring, these hidden emotions might have influenced the thoughts and feelings in my dream.
