I'm at my Grandma's house, which now is where my Mother lives, as she inherited the place when my Grandmother passed. So I'm just hangin out with my Mom in the room next to the kitchen, when my Grandma walks through the side door of the house, unexpectedly, surprising us both. I hop up and hug her & give her a kiss on the cheek and it's then when I notice that my Grandmother looked the way she did maybe 30 years ago, her hair and her face and her complexion and the way she was wearing makeup and how she was dressed and her energy level, was all like the way she was put together when she was round 65 years old. I was so happy to see her and she appeared to be happy to see me as she hugged me. It was so brief though and the next thing I know she was stepping back through the door saying good bye. I got real sad and asked her if she couldn't stay a bit longer. She said that she had to go, that she just wanted to come and hug me and say hi. She told me don't be sad. She didn't look sad at all, so seeing her not sad, helped me not to feel sad about watching her step back out the door. Once she was gone, I looked at my Mom and exclaimed how awesome it was that Grandma came for a visit! We both hugged and cried. It was a year ago that my family gathered in celebration of her life.
