shapeshifter??

I'm travelling with my friend Shw in an open She's driving & I'm sitting besides her. As we go through the highway there are puddles of mud in which she drives head first causing them to spray on us. i take out an old sheet and drape it over ourselves.then we talk about finding something exciting & i tell her there have been leopard sightings nearby so we decide to check that out. we drive out of the city to a sparsely populated village. Now I'm driving & we reach a gate & a guy going through it & a man standing with a kid nearby. the guy opens the gate for us. as soon we go out of the gate in our jeep i spot a leopard in the tree in front of us. i panic & make a u turn & tell the men about the panther. they scream & plunge the whole area into darkness for some reason making it impossible for us to see the road. we are scared of because ours is an open jeep & we can be attacked anytime. i navigate with the head lights & we reach a small bumpy hill as we go on it we notice that it isn't a hill but small houses embedded in a large hill. its the roofs of the house that give the hill bumpy appearance. the top part of the houses with the roof & oddly placed doors are visible. the roof is covered in green grass & moss so it looks like the ground. i decide to knock on someone's door & ask for help , I knock on one door & realise that there are nameplates on the doors. an old Russian man opens the door & we explain our situation as we are doing so i get a very weird feeling & delay accepting his offer to go in. Just then the sun rises & all the houses dissapear. then i realize that the old man was the leopard that was stalking the village.
