I joined the church through a singing competition

I pass by the church on 50th and penn and go in. I go to the leaders of the church and I see someone singing to them and when they are done I am next. They are outside on the grass through the big doors. It was an informal situation with only a few people there judging. I sing a song by The Chicks but I mess up and it turns from one song into Traveling Soldier. I won though! The other participants were sad that they lost and tried to refute it. Then Lana comes up to me and we celebrate that we can go to church together. I get a white ID badge and the party starts. I ask Lana if it’s ok that I’m here because I’m Jewish but it seems ok. I don’t advertise that I’m Jewish though. Then people are leaving on a canoe trip and other things are happening all around and I go back everyday and stay until 1 most days. I need to only stay for a bit so I can do my homework. My dad is there cooking. One time I accidentally stay until 4 because I got caught up in a virtual reality game. Now I wonder if the entire church was a virtual reality game and I frantically try to get out of there because I was late. It seemed like the VR game didn’t want me to leave and kept trying to pull me back in.
