Sree's marriage

Amit and Sree are getting married. The function is being held at my place. The guests : close friends have gathered in the afternoon. Sree was talking bad about Amit as is her style, behind his back. The friends included a lawyer who knew Amit from previous domestic violence cases against him. He strongly suggested against going ahead with the marriage. I too seconded it as I had in previous occasions. Then Amit came in, sensed the mood and asked Sree and me to follow him to another room for a discussion.
