I am watching a live, outdoor presentation about Overwatch. There is some debate about whether Genji is human or robot. I am with a friend. We pass a brick wall on the way back. I suggest we walk together, but she wants to pick up her mail first and disappears into the fog. A car comes up, but she’s not in it. The drivers seat is empty. I get in. I can talk to the driver, but they’re an invisible spirit. The spirit is very angry. We drive along and through rail lines and tunnels at high speed. I know they’re looking to destroy something. I’m able to contact my friend, who is now on a train with a group of friends. She explains that part of her spirit was severed, and it would be painful to return. I suggest a plan. She and her friends gather supplies, and start pouring a goo into cans with coins, keys, nails, etc. Wires come from one can. They’re making bombs. When the spirit tries to forcefully enter her mind, it will set off the bombs. She and her friends are willing to die for this. I hear on the news about a train explosion that killed all eight people on board. An artist is finishing a huge diptych. He covers it with a curtain for an unveiling. When the curtain opens, the painting has been changed and is covered in black text. The spirit survived and has manifested itself. The spirit possesses my white cat, but nothing much comes of it. It possesses a person and participates in an improvised ball game in an alley. I’m sent a message on a computer screen that goes by too fast. I’m going for a walk with my father. We know of the spirit, but it hasn’t done anything. We walk past a rural museum, but don’t go in. We go under a highway overpass and down a hill and enter the town. It’s small and runs along a single street parallel to the water on our right. There’s a grocery store and car lot, and a hotel with a big parking lot, and a university with metal domed roofs. On the way back, I’m looking at screenshots of the spirits message. It’s three pages long. Much is a manifesto about how it will rule the world and bring change. There is also contact info, including an email address. I’m reading this, with difficulty, to my father as he does the dishes at my grandmothers house. As I flip through the pages, there are more of them. The three pages becomes dozens. Many include quite good art and drawing. Also recipes. More personal info - the spirit lives in Ireland. My father suggests sending a friendly email and show him some of my art. It’s clear that this spirit is just an ordinary guy. However, new pages keep appearing, so he must still have some powers. That’s the end of the dream. No resolution.
