Lost

Mom was nine months pregnant and we had to rush to the hospital. We got there, then I had to go to this waiting room? Next thing I know, I'm suddenly out on the streets in this town I do not remember ever being in. Arrived at some inn, room was $2 a night but innkeeper couldn't let me stay for some reason. Later saw my humanities professor, then by some miracle I was back at the hospital. This group of girls let me stay with them until mom gave birth. Last thing I remember is mom being wheeled out of the labor room.
