Our school was on a trip to this weird local second hand store, when we got in there was this greasy guy at the register who motioned at this card set up and told us we had to pay to even enter the store and also some fees depending on if we bought stuff. When all of us finally managed to get through and pay the stupid fees, we were suddenly not actually in the store anymore..but instead a big plot of land with no way out. There was this really old bus parked near the entrance that we opened from the back side. There were these weird cartoon characters inside who were as surprised to see us as we were to see them, they asked us if we knew what was going on and then told us to look around at each other, I turned to look back at my class mates to see that they were all weird cartoon characters I looked down at my hands and saw some kind of legend of Zelda style body and apparel. The people on the bus stepped off and told us what they knew was going on, this lady was apparently keeping us here for to make some sort of cult and to keep us there forever..we all were horrified and panicking of course because this was fucked up. The lady they talked about appeared out of nowhere and told us what we would be doing this day, some sort of weird races like the ones where two people have their legs tied together and they have to do a race; we got assigned partners randomly and I was teamed up with this chibi character named Ross. We did the race and me and Ross started to get a bit closer, he was a cool dude and we had a lot in common. It made me feel a little better having a friend near me with all that was going on. We were trying to think of a way to escape and it felt like weeks, do some weird game then sit in the bus for the night..rinse and repeat. One day me and Ross were drawn to the window of that overlooked the inside of the fake store all the way back to where the entrance and where the clerk was. I saw this Asian guy with glasses talking to that greasy dude and it seemed like they were getting in some sort of argument. (Kind of breaks the story but at some point the walls dissapeared.) We saw the asain guy pointed at his bus full of kids, seemingly trying to take them inside as well but the clerk wouldn't budge. I got and idea and began to run till I got closer to the bus.. waving my arms up frantically calling for help, he saw me but I guess he didn't think there was anything wrong. I managed to run up to him and tell him what was going on and asked him if he could call our school to tell them to be get us, he was shocked to hear what went on and agreed. Me and all the students were really relieved and went back to the bus just to wait it out till the authorities or someone arrived. We started talking about ourselves and Ross told me he's been here at this place, since the late 80's and I told him the current year.. what would happen when we turned back into our normal selves? I was worried and scared for him as if he did make it out, we'd probably never see each other again because of the timeline. When help finally arrived, we were told we would turn back as soon as we fully left the barrier. We were saying our last goodbyes and giving hugs and all, there was so much I wanted to say to Ross but I just didn't... I guess maybe I wasn't in his mind at the time.. I mean I can't blame him; he was finally going to be able to leave and go home. We started to walk to the border of this place when I turned to see all the students talking and laughing, but nobody came for me and as I was walking out, Ross grabbed my arm and said he was sorry and that he'd miss me, he tried to say something else but I had already walked too far and once he did, he just vanished right in front of me. I didn't get to hear the last things he wanted to tell me, but I was just relieved to be able to be out of this nightmare.
