We were driving through Inkster on a main road. I was looking out the window of the passenger side, and as we passed a gap between buildings, I saw a woman laying prostrate on the sidewalk on the next side street over. At first I thought she had been shot, but then I saw another person in the same position ahead of her, followed by another and another. As we got the tiniest bit further ahead and could see beyond the buildings, the sky became black and there were no fewer than three visible tornadoes. These people had been outside and had nowhere to shelter. I told Charlie to turn left as that seemed our best chance for safety and wished so much for the absolute best possible outcome for these people who we were entirely unable to help. Then I awoke.
