Bahamian grocery store

We were in the Bahamas for a family vacation (me, my dad, stepmom, and sister). I knew it was the Bahamas because I recognize the flag above the pool we were swimming in. I was feeling great in the sun surrounded by the most stunning plant life. It was then my parents wanted to go to the supermarket to buy sunscreen so my sister and I kept swimming. They were taking a really long time so we decide to go there to check on them. This wasn't like any other super market, it was dirty and run down but surprisingly large and enclosed unlike a lot of other Bahamian shops. I ended up getting on the register to help a couple check out, they were buying cucumbers and cigars. What was really strange was the cigars were only a couple dollars while the cucumbers were over $10, up here in NY it's the other way around.
