Bookstore Commandantè

Bookstore/House setting. Several floors. It was being repainted. Note from this morning doesn't make sense- So many feral cats on the second level but I didn't want to kill the mice. House connected to a small bookstore where I tried to make friends.- I vaguely remember mice and wanting to shoo them away rather than kill them because I was worried if someone used poison it would kill the cats but there were so many I couldn't care for them all I think was the situation... (I don't remember anything about the bookstore part besides the Magazine very vaguely. Who was I trying to make friends with?) Magazine article about Darkwave the music genre but it was recommending bands like I remember Interpol was one. (Which they aren't Darkwave at all...) Captain Picard was there in some following part of the dream. He was in his recovery time after the Borg assimilation from Season 3. Strange small alien creature I had defeated. I was a soldier (for what exactly?) I couldn't remember even when I typed my first notes on this dream when I woke up but it felt heavy I felt weary. I wore the small skeleton or mummy of the strange alien creature in a glass orb pendant. As I edit through this in the evening after I had the dream the night of 5/12 something about that strange pendant was a burden and also a source of power.
