Taming beasts

Was inside and there was a man pulling a terrified deer like animal around by a string his sleeves were poofy and his clothing made him appear round. It was like velvet. There were circular areas set up on the ground the animals would not leave. It was very reminiscent of a 1400s painting. They were speaking something like French. Maybe old French. They said this is what sophistication was. I felt like an alien observing this. Though the men spoke to me like a human. I identified more with the baby animal being dragged. The men lacked empathy and were obsessed with shaping and arranging the materials that covered their bodies. They must've taken this animal from it's mother and they seemed entertaining but the animals were being tortured to stay in a boundary and I felt it could just as easily have been done to me.
