I honestly have never been so scared in my life before, awake or not awake. This wasn’t sleep paralysis but more just gripping fear and paranoia that was overwhelming. In the dream I was travel with a group of people, I don’t know who they were. We were hiking down this valley, it was very cloudy and super dark. In the dream I knew I had gone through childhood trauma, similar to the shinning but as Danny. I had seen scary things and been through bad stuff, almost identical to what Danny endured in the story. Except of having a mom in the story, there was girl who lived in my old neighborhood. We both went through the trauma in the past. While hiking our group came amping a specific point in the valley. I stopped in my tracks and had a panic attack. Fear gripped me. Something had triggered an “flashback” to the trauma. The girl also saw whatever we saw and stopped too. We were both equally in terror. Our group kept hiking but the girl and I could not go on. We were to scared to go on. I had never experienced such fear in my life before. I was honestly so gripped. I began to cry in the dream from fear and terror. Finally I woke up and no lie, was insanely sweaty and was crying too. As said, I’ve never experienced such horror and fear in a dream or in real life before, and I hope no one else does because this was a dream I’m not forgetting any time soon.
