Ah, the falling dream

I used to have a dream like once a month, when I was just slipping into sleep, of me falling in my bed in a purplish-red and black spiral. My bed would slowly spin with the spiral as I saw myself going down and my stomach would drop. It would happen real fast, with this like dropping piano music almost. I would then snap awake and maybe gasp. Other times, I will fall in my dream. Like, as I'm walking, I'll trip on something and my whole body will flinch in real life and I'll gasp and regain consciousness.
