Donut cake and traveling to a new building

I'm walking on a campus fill of new, modern buildings. They're geometric shaped and full of glass windows. I'm preparing to have all my things ready to go. There's a theater performance going on here and I have to get my things together. In the pocket of my trenchcoat, there's a round cake that's shaped like a donut which is half finished. I worry that the quality won't be what I expected. There's a rush to get ready to go and I feel like if people notice I'm taking my time, they'll rush me even more. We're by the ocean, which is maybe, wild, and deep greenish blue.
