Mysterious Beast

We were moving into a new house, and we were paying it a visit to get a quick look around. My husband got there ahead of me. We had already brought the cat over to give her a chance to get acclimated before we brought our stuff. When I got to the house, I heard my husband crying uncontrollably, very panicked. My husband doesn't cry, ever. He said there was a gigantic unidentifiable beast attacking our cat when he got there that he had to chase away. Fortunately, our cat was okay. He said it was in front of the bedroom. I don't know if he meant outside the bedroom window, or if the creature was actually in the house. It was chilling to see something scare my husband so badly.
