We were in a church I went to as a kid. It seemed like for some reason we were taking care of these kids who didn’t have anywhere to go or needed a place to stay really quickly until placement was found. It was getting to be later at night and we were doing checks and finishing up things that need to be done. I started talking to the guy in the pantry when a kid ran off. She was still inside the church but not where she was supposed to be. We’d spot her but never could get close enough to get ahold of her and figure out what she was doing. I saw the little girl upstairs peaking around the corner and I went to go try and catch her but knew if I did she’d run and I’d lose sight of her. At one point we were in the hallway of the basement trying to figure out what to do when I saw a Patrol Cap. I grabbed it to see who’s it was then handed to someone and asked someone to let LT Noelle know she lost her Patrol Cap.
