A Mistrustful Goddess

I was watching a sweet Spanish (Jewish?) cartoon about a kind red/pink goddess who becomes attached to a nomadic girl and learns from her to avoid people. The goddess runs away, the girl follows her, and a mysterious evil shadow pursues them. In the end the girl returns to the village she had moved into with her family, where the goddess came from, but thinks that her family is an illusion created by the evil shadow. She attacks them, and the village prepares to fight back as the girl and the goddess run away. The shadow catches up to them and finally kills the goddess, maybe.
