Dream of ex ?? WHY

Basically I had a dream that me and my ex that have been broke up for 4 months were together. we broke up because he cheated and wouldn’t admit to it so he left me like the weak man he was. it was a toxic relationship on both sides and I have realized my growth without him in my life and who I am as a person! So in the dream it was basically us just back together and like in love again and just laying together like when we were together. if i’m being completely honest of course I miss him and hope he’s doing well, but i’m not frequently thinking about him or what he is up to. I blocked him from social media and i’m just not sure why I dreamt of him? I looked up why and it said that basically that i’m moving on and trying to look at the good parts and the lessons to remember... i’m just not sure why i’m reminiscing when my life is so much better off without him... is it because he is thinking of us? or God is trying to tell me it’s okay to forgive and forget I just don’t know
