Insulting A Customer At Work

I was doing my work from home job when some customer I had previously spoken to came through again. He said he'd had some issues with calling previous numbers again, and I apologised. I removed the feature stopping him from making the calls from his account and said I hoped he would give me a 10/10 on the surveys we give customers at the end of each call. He said 'Are you kidding? I'd give you a minus 10/10!' I protested and said I had done everything I could to help him. He started ranting about me out of nowhere and asked me what he had originally phoned up about. I said it was because he wanted to vote via phone on Britain's Got Talent. He kept going on and on, so I eventually got fed up and started calling him names. The guy said he hoped the call was being recorded so I got the sack, and my Mum for some reason randomly proclaimed that I should call the police on the caller.
