Apartment Back

He is sitting on the bed bemoaning the loss of a shoebox full of money now that I want my apartment back, the one over the garage that he and his wife subletted from my daughters. They have only been there a month, still in the probation period so I have my rights. The wife is more professional and is packing to leave. We thought the sublet would provide extra income but it was a wash. I have to go to the bank to refinance while my daughters go check out the village shops. I give them transit fare and 20 bucks each, which I realize won't buy much. I give J $40 more so she can buy a summer top or something small. Not fair but D has her own money. The bank officer from the Monopoly Game is being so condescending about the lack of wisdom of refinancing. I ask him, "Do you have to pay $500 a month for your kids' drugs?" His face pales.
