my entire spanish class were going on a trip to spain while i was stuck in school doing a practice exam. it was a writing exam and the translation looked really easy but she wouldn’t let me do it without a mini lesson first. when i finally finished the mini lesson i left school and walked around outside school while she sent me more help over the phone. eventually she asked me to come back into school and do the exam. when i came back in everyone who was on the trip had returned. on the way to spanish i was talking to marielle and she said that on the trip the teacher, who in real life has left this year, would be on their history trip next year. as i go up the stairs my shoe comes off and instead of scrambling for it i just leave it to avoid embarrassment. i tell myself i’ll come back for it in lost property at some point. i get to spanish and there’s a cover teacher. she motions for me to sit down but i want to sit with my friends. they have a row of 4 filled up and the closest i could sit would be the row behind but that would mean sitting with the girls i hate. as i was thinking about what to do the other front row stood up and told us we should all sit there. for some reason i was carrying a coat the entire time.
