The dream begins with me in the back seat of an old car. I couldn't see the outside, however, the inside resembled that of a station wagon. I was sitting in the back passengers side seat. An unknown family was also in the car with me. There was a middle-aged man with a neat haircut and a thick moustache driving. He wore a set of normal glasses. His clothes gave me the impression that he worked at an office job of some sort. There was an adult woman in the passenger's seat, though I never got a clear look at her. There was a young girl sitting across from me in the back. The family exchanged a few brief conversations as we drove, nothing I could recall though. We appeared to be driving on an interstate somewhere. The region was very mountainous, and the forward and backward sections of the interstate were separated by a dropoff which looked to be about 10 or so feet down. The man driving looks to the woman and says something along the lines of "you wanna just call it off?" The woman says "yes" and the man makes a sharp turn to the left. The car quickly careens down the drop before smoothly landing on the other side of the interstate. We are now driving back the way we came. Suddenly, we're no longer on an interstate, but on our way down the mountain that led to my high school. We travel down to the bottom, reaching the stop sign before taking a right and crossing a large bridge over the river. At the end of the bridge, the man slows down and puts on his left turn signal. He begins turning left, saying something to the woman in the passenger's seat. As we're turning, I notice a car headed straight for us. We get hit and the car is sent spinning backwards violently. My seat in the car must have broken, because I remember just looking up at the ceiling of the car, not in any pain, but unable to move. I remember thinking to myself "how in the hell did he not see that car coming?" My vision slowly fades into darkness. I awaken in a large chamber made of sleek black stone, covered in intricately carved symbols and markings. I'm not wearing any clothes. In front of me I see two things, a youn woman, and an enormous mural of the ocean. The woman is sitting on a stool with her legs crossed, painting a likeness of the mural onto a medium sized canvas resting on an easel. The woman has a very strange appearance. She was completely nude, save for a brittle-looking, winding black fabric that was wrapped around her chest and groin. Her skin was dark grey like ashes, and her arms and legs were covered in sparse black thorns. She had a pair of sleek black horns on her head and long dark hair that seemed to flow as if blown by a gentle breeze. The woman turned to look at me, briefly flashing a soft smile. The woman was missing her left eye. Her right eye, slit pupil like a snake, put off a soft golden light. The woman turns back to her painting. At that point I remember asking where I was, but the woman didn't answer, and instead began to smile again. I look around for a moment before a little girl walks into the room from a corridor off to my left. Like the woman, she too has grey skin, thorns, and horns. As well she only wears a brittle looking fabric wrapped about her chest and groin. The little girl is missing her right eye, and her left glows with the same golden light as the older woman's. I'm not sure why, but I'm immediately under the impression that the two girls are siblings. The little girl rushes over to me excitedly, exclaiming "you're finally awake!" I ask her where I am, how I got there, and what's going on. She simply looked towards the woman painting and giggled. I turn to look at the woman. She speaks to me in a soft and calming tone, never looking up from her painting. She says "we have searched long for you...you see, there is a great dragon that slumbers within your soul, and we seek to set it free." The woman quickly swipes her brush across the canvas, sending a fleck of golden paint onto my chest. The mural on the wall suddenly changes, and a large golden gragon begins to appear in the mural. I look in amazement for a short time before I ask them "what does this have to do with me?" The two girls smile largely, and I begin to feel myself rise up into the air. My legs and torso begin to change into a long, golden serpentine body, my hands shift into talons and wings sprout from my back as my skin is overtaken by glistening golden scales. My vision fades into darkness and the dream ends.
