Shifters

I was living in a pack of shifters. They were lions. I was the only cub who couldn’t shift. I had no lion. There was this girl who was struggling to shift. When you shift, you’re required to accept a type of job in order to support that pack. She was trying to shift without choosing a job and it was making it incredibly painful for her. I could have stolen her lion and then I wouldn’t have been the only lionless cub, but instead I walked her through it. Told her which job to choose and helped her accept it. When the process was nearly complete, I was hit with a vision. I would steal her lion from her at some point in the future. The goddess would be displeased with the girl’s selfishness and this would be her punishment. The dream continues and I am fighting alongside my pack. I am again the only one who can’t shift. I am screaming alongside my roaring pack. When the fight has finished, someone points out a mark appearing on my shoulder. I am embarrassed to acknowledge that it came from a wolf that I had been seeing. Dream becomes foggy for a while and then surprisingly clear. I am dressed in a gown of red roses and there is a crown on my head. My feet glide nearly a foot off the ground and are dressed in black heels. I smile because they’re so impractical, but they look pretty. I am circling with the wolf that I had been seeing. He is dressed in a black suit and looks incredibly handsome. Dark hair and dark eyes. He smiles at me before growling and shifting. And then I do the same.
