No Goodbyes

I was chilling out with my family at my aunt’s house. For some reason my crush from college, Ray, lived next door and had come over. I told him he could hang out with us I guess, but I didn’t really talk to him? Idk. Anyways, my uncle kinda ordered me around to move some furniture. I obliged as Ray just watched. Then my family left and it was just us. Ray pat a chair in front of him, signaling me to sit down. I was sat; instantly. He had the same look on his face he only gave me. The one with genuine affection in his eyes. “I have something to tell you” he began, a bit somberly. “What is it?” I asked in return. “I’m leaving (going back to Miami cause of family).” “Okay. That’s fine… Are you coming back?” “Maybe (probably not, my mother’s sick).” “Okay. Well, take care… If you’re ever back in town, hit me up.” “Of course… See ya.” “Bye.” Then he left.
