The Forbidden Dark Lake

I dreamt there’s an island full of tribal Buddhist people who live in a village that surrounds a lake. The lake is very still and black. I get creepy vibes from the lake. They don’t allow anyone to swim in it because nobody knows what lurks there. Some say that the lake is located directly on top of a sleeping volcano and if anyone tries to swim in it, the volcano will erupt. Others say that there are monsters of unimaginable horror in the lake. That’s all I remember.
