Science Fiction and Puppies

I had a strange dream one night where I pretty much scuba dived with another man I'd never seen before, who looked like my uncle, it was on another planet and we had some badass gear to dive down far. the water was crystal clear and there was an orange light penetrating the still darkness of the calm waters at the bottom of the watery abyss. Old ship debris and various metal spikes jutted out around the orange light, and the man told me to wait, he dove down and picked up a basket of puppies, who could apparently somehow breathe underwater. As he was swimming back up, the debris started collapsing on the man and he told me to save the puppies, so I took the basket and down he plunged into the watery depths. I started to cry uncontrollably In my dream, then it ended. I woke up with dry tear marks and a few fresh tears near the corners of my eyes. My dad came into the room and asked why I was crying. I looked confused and said that I had no clue and I just woke up in a weird way.
