13 Hour Drive/Performance at the Beach

In the beginning of the dream, Dad said he was going to take a 13 hour drive to Kentucky supposedly to visit a shooting range. He asked me if I wanted to come, and without hesitation, I said yes since I love road trips. I mapped it out on my phone and told him where to go. Crossing states I haven't been to before was exciting. After hours and hours of highway driving, we finally were close to our destination. We then took a lot of country roads and winding streets to the place. A few streets away from the location, there was a street called Acid Street and from seeing that sign, I knew we were almost there. On the intersection of Acid Street and some other winding road there was a brown house. It had bricks on the side but the siding in the center of the house was brown and there was a heart shaped window above the door. The house seemed cozy. Dad was telling me that these winding roads reminded him of the sights of New York State or Pennsylvania from when he was younger. So I opinionated and told him it looked like more of New York, although I have never visited there before. Before we knew it, we finally got to the range and out of nowhere I was back home while he was still in Kentucky. A few hours later he called me and said that he was going to drive home and be back the next day. It was at this time the setting of the dream drastically changed. The next day came, and it was a hot summer day in July. I had a performance scheduled at Seven Presidents Beach and was super excited to perform. Mom, Isabella, and I get to the beach, pack our stuff on the sand, I go in the water a bit, and then I changed for the show. I changed in a neon yellow shirt and light blue shorts. I then left the beach to get on stage so I had to remember where Mom was in the large crowd. I tell you, the beach was packed! Kind of like Memorial Day packed! So I finally get on stage and they were doing sound checks on me. I was so confident that I started singing my song "The Big City" with ease. But here was the catch. It seemed like the sound check was still going on as I sang, so I sang the verses choppy, slowly, and in a different tone. But my pitch was on point and the whole beach was looking at me. I looked back at the beach, the large crowds, the people in the water, and the big waves that would occasionally appear. I put on a great show, and by the time I was done singing they clapped and the announcer told me "Thank you for coming out here today". It was such an honor to have had the opportunity again to perform on the beach, knowing that I've already done it in real life. So I exit the stage and everyone was telling me good job and I walk the sidewalk on that side street back to the entrance of the beach. Noticing that I just missed the beach entrance as I continued to walk near the grasslands, some woman called out my name. She was like, "Excuse me, Angelica. You can enter the beach here". At first I was startled that I heard a voice come out of nowhere, and I thought I was in trouble, but as I approached her she was just a typical middle aged woman with a dark tan, a bathing suit with a cover up, and a large sun hat. She congratulated me once again, saying that I did a fantastic job, and as a free gift, she gave me a cup of fresh squeezed cold lemonade to refresh me, cause I needed it. She then points to me where my mom was on the beach. She says, "There is your mom, with the yellow umbrella". I thanked her and walked while sipping the lemonade in big gulps and walked back in a diagonal line to Mom and Isabella's umbrella. Mom asks where I got the lemonade from and I told her that the one lady at the beach entrance gave it to me for free as a gift for putting on a great performance. We packed our things and left. When we got home, I thought about Dad and how he is probably still on the road and won't be home till late in the night. Two hours pass and all of a sudden, he is home. Time went by so fast that he actually got home in 5 hours! I asked him if he took another way home and he said no, but I had a feeling he did. I was happy to see him back and told him about my performance on the beach. We talked a little more and the dream stopped.
