Off topic, not a dream

Every time I try to go to sleep, something outside ends up waking me up. I hear it scuttle along the outside wall of my room (I have a window and I'm surrounded by forest), and then I hear it on my window. Sometimes it sounds like it is throwing rocks at it. Then I hear it clash on something on my front porch, and it sounds like the metal chairs we have out there. Then it crawls on the wall, scuttles up the gutter and it sounds like it's on the roof. I thought it might be a squirrel or a mouse problem because we've had those before, but I don't know considering it happens almost the same time every night. And not to mention it was throwing rocks at me last night. Any idea of what it might be?
