Late Night Snake

I walked though the pet store with my boyfriend at my heels. Many aquariums lay in rows on each wall, water spilling out of them and slowly flowing up and reaching the ceiling. Even with the water, I continued to breathe normally. Between walking from one isle to another, I was separated from my boyfriend. As I looked around for him, my eyes landed on a blonde boy who held his hand to the glass of a snake aquarium. I walked over, looking down at the large albino serpents. "Beautiful, isn't she?" I looked over at the blonde as he smiled at the snake, who's tongue flickered. His blue eyes moved to look at me, "It's pretty uncommon for someone to be so comfortable near their tank." I smiled, "I mean, I'd get a little nervous if one were out of it but it isn't their fault." I explained, earning a nod from the male. "That's to be expected. I think you should learn to calm down around her though. You're nervous." I felt my skin chill at his words. He glanced at me one last time, a dull look in his eyes. "Well.. it was nice meeting you." He nodded at my words before turning away and staring back at the snake. Finally, I was able to find my boyfriend a few isles away. With each step, each isle, it seemed as if my clothes were vanishing. By the time I was coming around to the front door, I was only in my bra and underwear. I was flushed, face red as I walked with my boyfriend toward the clearing before the doors. I had no idea where my clothes where, how they vanished, and if I were to get in trouble for it. Suddenly, a man's voice cut through the area, "Get away from the windows!" I grabbed my boyfriend's hand quickly, holding it as I stared at the window. I tried to pull him away but he moved at a snail's pace, his eyes glued to the window. Slowly, the dark side walk outside began to get lighter as the headlights neared. I suddenly sprang into action, tugging my boyfriend's hand and pulling him away before diving to the ground as the window shattered. The water in the room began to flow out as people screamed, bodies of the passengers slamming onto the floor within the store. Blood began to mix with the water on the floor, bodies went limp. A shriek rang through the building before being cut off as a wet squishing sound began. I let go of my boyfriend as I stood up, eyes landing on a woman. Her lower body was bent at a unnatural position. Her upper body was hidden behind an isle wall. I slowly began to walk over, my legs shaking as I imagined what happened to the woman. Shrapnel? Maybe she was impaled? I froze as I came to stand in front of her body. The snake had her upper body in it's mouth, going to about her hips. I held my hands over my mouth as tears brimmed my eyes. I turned around as footsteps began to grow close. A woman walked up shakily, screaming as she seen the snake, "IT'S EATING HER!" Chaos began as everyone began screaming and running. I ran towards the windows to find that the bus was blocking each one. "Max?!" I yelled nervously but to no avail. Some time passed via running and trying to find another exit, and I found a hidden door. Inside was a sort of staff room, where they would have chairs and coffee. The lights were off and I went to sit in the corner to calm down and think. Suddenly, a sound began to echo from within the vents. A.. slithering. I backed away from the vent, backing away until my back hit the door. My fingers wrapped around the knob but it wouldn't move. The vent popped out to reveal one of the white and gold colored snakes. I swallowed as I began to try and think of a way out of this. "You weren't kidding. You look pretty scared." A male's voice said from the other side of the room in the shadows. I looked over to see the blonde boy, his arms crossed and his ponytail laying over his shoulder. I gulped, "Y-yeah, no kidding." "Well, she can tell that you're scared. You should probably calm down and get out of range." He said calmly before walking over. He slammed his hand against the door, his palm next to my head as he pinned me on my back. I slowly slid down the wall until I was on my butt. He still stood above me with his hand on the door, he just looked down at me with a smile. "Doesn't look like you're really listening to me." "J-just gimme a second." I said as I ignored his gaze and stared at the snake that was nearing my foot. "There isn't anywhere I could go. I just.. I'm trying to calm down." The boy stepped back, looking at the snake before leaning down and picking up the snake. By picking up, he was really just lifting the head. The snake didn't attempt to bite, it just simply let him hold it. "She's hungry, you know?" Just.. breathe.. "This store wasn't feeding her enough." Inhale.. exhale.. "None of her kind were fed enough." I straightened my neck, looking up at the ceiling as he slowly lowered the snake to my leg. "And you don't even care." By now, tears were beginning to fall. I closed my eyes, keeping my head up as I felt the fangs sink into my knee. "I do care. I just.. I didn't do anything." I choked back as the fangs sunk deeper. The boy looked down at me with curious eyes as I breathed. I took deep and cautious breaths, focusing on that before the pain. The boy looked at the snake, my knee, and then back to my pained expression. Slowly my expression began to fade as I just took breaths. Calm. The pain began to fade as well, as I felt the mouth of the serpent begin to be pried off of my leg. Opening my eyes, I looked down to see that the boy had taken the snake off of me and was now holding it again. "You listened to me. I'll give you another chance." He said as he began to back away. He turned, taking a hand off of the snake so that he could open the door. After doing so, he looked back at me, "I'll remember that you trusted me." // The rest of the dream kind of jumped around and is a little harder to explain. Basically I ended up in some sort of cottage area in the middle of nowhere during the winter and the boy was still around. I was stuck trying to survive with a few other people but for some reason I kept trying to find the boy. It would lean toward nightmare because if I was with someone and looking for him, they would make little remarks that gave me chills. Like, "He's coming.", "Don't let him see you/know you're there." and "He's gonna get you." so yeah lol
