Jars of what?

I was going to some state to meet a friend and when I got there they took me to this mountain area and she told me that we need to look for these small houses inside trees, they're easy to spot. In the house lives like a bug and he keeps these small jars of lightning bugs I think, I can't remember but we needed to find these jars. So we walked up the mountain and some other guy was coming so we had to run to make sure we found one. We ended up finding one and then we stayed in it's house and my friends parents came and was asking all these questions... there's more but I can't remember it
