Serial Killer's Tools

I was at school and there was news that there was a serial killer on the loose and that he was taking 1 life every day on campus but nobody knew who it was or how they were doing it. Then they found a photo of the guy and gave me a mission or something to find him on campus and take his bag full of supplies. So the next thing I knew I was in this parking lot hiding next to a car, when a guy with a blue adidas gym bag starts walking to the car next to the one I'm hiding by. That was him. He opens his trunk, puts the bag inside, and goes to the other side of the car to get something from the seats, leaving the trunk wide open without his supervision for a moment. So I take that chance, grab the bag, and just RUN. I know he's gonna notice that it's gone as soon as he goes back to the trunk and go after me so I'm running like mad, trying to find my way around campus. For some reason I don't recognize anything, so I just keep running around. I find some tennis courts but they aren't the ones from our school so I'm just really confused where I am now. Eventually I head to this office where I think I'm supposed to show them the contents of the bag, so I go in and there's 2 women in there that I talk to about it. We lay down the bag and open it up. But before the women open it up, they put on these really pretty decorated masquerade masks, one red and black, the other blue and black. They pull out some equipment from the bag like rope and other stuff, and then they pull out a knife. It was just a normal sized knife. But then they pull out this round shiny pod-looking thing that fits in the palm of your hand and was just really pretty. They push a textured button on the top of the thing and a blade shoots out from it. They press it again and another blade shoots out from the first blade. They press it a 3rd time and a 3rd blade shoots out, creating a cool looking pattern of the finished large blade. It was magical or something, but idk what else it did. It obviously aided the killer in his exploits. The blade doesnt extend any more, and the last time they press it, all the blades go back into the pod and it says it can't be opened until another 24 hours. So it's timed. Right after that, an announcement from the killer comes in and he says another life will be taken at exactly 8 pm tonight. And we determine that correlates to the timed blade that we just found. I don't remember what happened after that and I woke up.
