Throat too dry to birdcall

So, I was at my school (which has a lot of outdoor space between buildings) and there was a person, probably a murderer, running around and we thought he was trying to kill us. So, instead of lockdown, we just ran around in groups around the school trying not to get killed. After a while, we managed to figure out that he was after my brother, the school captain. At this point my group- and probably a few others- switched from running to acting as decoys because my brother wasn't in our group. So the group would run to a building, make some noise until we got the guys attention, and then run for our life. Irl, we have maybe a handful of two-story buildings at our school, but for whatever reason, most of them were now. So we run down to one of the blocks, and some of us get up onto the second floor. It felt more like a roller coaster ride, because there were wasn't very sturdy fencing and at the entrance there was a strange piece of metal that went from one side to another with a circle in it, maybe like 30cm wide, which I had to swing under to get in. The second floor was considerably shorter than the first somehow, and was legit just full of bubblers. I remember on the left there was two rows of things, on the top were bubblers labelled 'Females', and below them -like literally just off the floor- was there keyhole-like things labelled 'Males'. Anyway. The first bubbler nearly hit me in the face with a high- powered jet of water, which I dodged, and I think I got a drink from the second. There were these two maybe large-closet-sized rooms facing away from our side, that when later expected looked like car seats that faced in the opposite direction. But yeah. Decoys. Now, I'm getting this problem where my throat is super painfully dry. I can't make any sound, and I try to bird call but I can't (it's pretty cool though irl) and I keep trying to find a drink. Anyway, we catch their attention and run away and run around for a while,!trying to find a safe place. God that poor teacher. Eventually we find ourselves in the junior staff block, which isn't really that fancy. But me and another girl need a drink, so our teachers like 'oh yeah just go in that direction [in the block] and you'll find some bubblers'. As we walk, it begins to feel more and more like a house, like we find a bathroom or two and at least one kitchen. Did I mention that these rooms are all full of cups near the sinks? But no bubblers. I just end up rinsing out some random cup on the drying rack in the kitchen to take a drink, and tbh it didn't help much. There was a class leading into the next room or two, including the kitchen. But the end of the kitchen had a door leading into a smaller room- kinda like a classroom- which then had a door leading outside. Before i got a drink, I'd lock that door in case the killer came, and this mildly rude senior was talking to me about either why it wouldn't work or why we were safe anyway and that I shouldn't lock that door. Pretty much all I remember. The
