Gold Leaf Spider

I’m standing in the kitchen with my mom when a spider appears on the island (which had a sink in the middle of it for some reason) Mom said “that’s a gold leaf spider” and started to try and catch it. It went into the sink and she pulled it out by one of its legs. I back away into the family room and went around the couch. Dad was sitting on the couch. Mom showed him the spider, then he disappeared. She then chased me around the couch with the spider.
