Plant Powers

So I was up in Indiana. I lived in this small community out in the middle of a forest. I think I lived in a cabin. Now, not just anyone lived in this little village. In fact, most of us had superpowers. Mine was the ability to control plants. Meanwhile, others had more menial powers. Everyday our community grew. At first it was just a couple of cabins, but now theres more, we have our own electricity and water systems, a farm, and a small town square. However, that’s the least of the drama that went down. For one, I was friends with this one couple. The girl lived with me, and the boy had his own cabin. One night though I found him cheating on his girlfriend. I then threatened him that I’d tell his girlfriend if he didn’t. The next morning he told her. She got angry and stayed the rest of the day inside our house. I guess they broke up. When night fell something strange happened. We all felt this weird earthquake. However, when we pulled up the news there was nothing about an earthquake. We then figured that it was an isolated disruption that occurred only in our little town. The next night something even stranger happened. A women and several armored / armed men showed up. They revealed that they were 1) looking for me, and 2) there were other isolated earthquakes. Apparently there was one in Florida, California, and Louisiana. Regardless, I then found myself being taken away after choosing not to fight back. I didn’t want anyone to get hurt. Next thing I know I’m back in Florida and surrounded by my old friends. We all use to live here, or still did. Also, they all somehow had superpowers too. I then asked why I was brought back here. They told me it’s because there’s a huge giant sea monster we have to face. It’s somehow tied to us and the earthquakes, and it’s bound to wake up and come for us all. However, as long as we’re all together, we should be able to face it and defeat it. So yeah, now I’m at the beach with my friends, all dressed up in gear, and ready to take on a monster. Looking around I saw people, and lots of them. It’s summer after all. My friend, Hayden, who seemed to have air bending powers, had flown around. He tried talking to everyone, but none of the beach goers believed him. They all stayed... even after the monster showed up. Perhaps it was way off shore, but it was still huge and dangerous. Oh well, I guess the people wanted a show. Feeling around I sensed all the plants around me. I could feel the tall beach grass and mangrove trees behind me, and I could also feel the seaweed in front of me. So, now was the time to get to work. Using my powers I created a wall of defense using the mangrove trees. They’d be civilization’s last line of defense if we couldn’t keep the beast in the water. Next, I got on the backs or shoulders of two of my friends. One could control water while the other could run super fast. They carried me over to the beast. I then used the seaweed to wrap the monster’s feet together. It fell into the water and created a giant wave. I got caught in it. Now I was back on shore. I found Hayden and our best friend Isabella there. She had techy powers and had used them to highjack a boat and bring it to us. Apparently the two had come up with some weird plan to take out the monster. So, hopping in the boat, the three of us headed off to some dudes pontoon. It was anchored right off shore, and it was owned by one of Hayden’s friends. As Bella then parked the boat, we went to talk to the dude that owned the pontoon. Hayden made a deal with him that secured us some fireworks. Bella then drive the boat over to the fight. The three of us joined the others and destroyed the beast together. Isabella ignited the fireworks, and Hayden used his air bending skills to force them into the monster’s mouth. I’d used my plant powers to keep it open. The fireworks then exploded inside of the beast and made him weak. In the end it was dead.
