Called my neighbor

I called my neighbor and started to speak spanish to him by accident. There was a lot of pauses and awkward silences and eventually I forgot how to say window and there was a weird exchange because of it. He started to get mad at me because I was stumbling over my words but then I just switched to english and explained that I was sorry and that I had no idea why I even called (or how I got the number) or why I had decided to speak spanish to him, but I enjoy the language and said that he was lucky to be able to speak it. I also explained that I often will try my best to translate what they are saying because I keep my window open most of the time. I was suprised but he was actually quite understanding which was a relief.
