In my dream, I was working at a job that was fairly easy to get to. But somehow I was still on my way to an interview. I was back in NYC and riding the subway. I realized I was on the local train and missed my stop at Union Square. I realized that after the conductor closed the doors one stop down. I decided to get off the next stop and then take the train back north to get to my destination. A stranger suggested I walk in a zig-zag fashion to get to my interview location. I was confused and thought I had to get as far north as 42nd street, which was definitely too far to walk, then. I had pepper spray on me and was reading the instructions on how to use it while sitting on a seat on the train. I felt conflicted having it. While it can help me, it may possibly also be used against me. I wondered if I can just say it’s for my asthma. I was also having second thoughts about this interview. My job was okay, and the travel was very manageable. Did I really want to look for work where I’d have to deal with the nyc subways once again? Yuck!
