Hotel Unsolved Mystery

G is offered a mysterious delivery job by criminal elements to a grand hotel back in time, the 40's, gangsters in suits, old ladies in box hats, spy vs spy. We are giggling, trying to discover what it's all about. A liason in a large public baths room. A trip up the elevator to an unmarked floor. I am told if something happens to Marnier, clearly the boss lady on our side, then we know what to do (escape). There is a book about a family we need to transport. It is in the nursery. I am sitting, almost hiding, high on a wide staircase overlooking a great room with multiple seating areas where wealthy children play, sulk and bully one another. A tall girl slouching on a chaise slowly pulls out a gun and starts squirting everyone with water. Some laugh. Others get angry. She can't reach me as I am too high above her but I sense the situation is precarious, explosive. The old boss lady has left so it's time to go. G and I are leaning back on a bench, waiting for a train, my head against his chest. I am trying to cheer him up. He is sad that we failed to solve the mystery. "But we got to stay in this fancy hotel and I had fun. Didn't you have fun?" "Yes," he agrees. I am reading his shirt - small white letters on black, on a heart-shaped treasure map. I start on the top right, something about Bob Marley and the Sea. Then lower where the words go straight across, but only able to see the left half: "...where you have 180 or more employees staying....like if you order 140 fruit cocktails..." I ask, "Can I read your shirt?" "Sure " he removes his coat and pulls back his messy hair. "What is it about?" I ask He shrugs. "Haven't you ever read your shirt?" I am shocked he could wear a shirt and not know what it said. I start at the top, his right side. Something about lung cancer. Damn dog wakes me up.
