AES Conference

In real life, I wanted to go to the AES Conference held in New York City, but since I couldn't find anyone to go with, and it was Halloween weekend, I did not go. However, in this dream, we had the opportunity to go, but this time, it wasn't in Manhattan: it was in Long Island. My dad said we can take an overnight trip there so we can beat the morning crowds. The place was over two hours away, and since it was nighttime, my dad kept hinting to us that there was going to be obstacles on the roadways. I was scared, because I didn't want anything to happen to us. I know that the highways on Long Island are known for bad traffic accidents, which made me double scared. Just as we cross the New York border, my sister was complaining that she had no room in the back seat. I was sitting between the middle seat and the left side of the car. Maybe it was because I had on a bulky jacket on. So I look back and see one of the trunk seats that was lifted up. Dad says, "Angelica, can you move over to the back? Isabella has no room." I groaned and said I'll do it. "This kid always a makes me do extra" I said to myself. So at full speed, I carefully moved myself to the back of the car, still worrying that something was gonna happen. To pass time, I couldn't really look outside the car windows to see a view, because it was pitch dark. But I vaguely saw lights coming from a distance. Soon enough we finally get to the convention center, and I was thankful that nothing happened to us on our way there. It was morning and I had to wait in this long line to get my entry badge. As the line got closer, I realized that I forgot to print out the piece of paper with my photo on it and my confirmation number. I didn't want to let Dad know that I forgot my stuff and we took this trip for nothing, so I was going to try and work my way around it. When it was my turn on the line, the lady asked me to show her the photo ID and confirmation paper. So I pretended I didn't know and asked her what was that. So she explained herself and I finally told her the truth that I forgot mine at home. She told me she was sorry and said that I was only allowed to go to the complimentary breakfast and to the general exhibit. In other words, I didn't get an entry badge. I was kinda disappointed, but I just had to make the best of it. I walk down a spiral staircase where there was burgundy and gold wallpaper surrounding it and I see a bunch of guys and girls waiting to eat breakfast. I talked to some of them. And afterwards, we were heading to the exhibits. Hopefully they didn't know that I forgot my photo ID, cause I was going to sneak in to one of the conferences. It was possible, since there were crowds of people. I saw a computer room on the way, but I saw no printers, so I was out of luck there. While I was walking I briefly heard that Mom was going to drive home. I was getting scared again. But luckily, the dream stopped before that happened.
