You Should Breathe

This happened a few years ago, I was 8 or 9. I was swimming in my cousins pool, which isn’t surprising because I didn’t have my own and that was one of the only pools I had ever swam in. So I’m swimming and having an amazing time and I’m like oh yeah I need to breath, and I am running out of breath in real life too. So I head to the surface of the water and I hit some invisible barrier blocking me from oxygen. I start banging on it and I look around and suddenly the water is an endless black abyss in every direction except up, which is the barrier. So then my cousin Sarah, the one who’s pool it is, walks across the top of the barrier and stands over me. I still can’t breathe. She says “We never loved you.” And then all my other loved ones stand by her and start chanting “We never loved you.” at me. I’m still banging on the barrier and I still can’t breathe and I scream but no sound comes out. Suddenly I’m in my bedroom, it’s one of those looks so real it’s an exact replica type situations, and I look next to me and there’s this little girl I’ve never seen before with long black hair that’s kind of floating around sitting next to me on the bed. She stares at me and says “You should probably breathe.” And then I wake up for real and realize I was face down on my pillow the entire time and that’s why I couldn’t breathe.
