impulse buying street rats & snakes

jan 27, 2019 me and my friends went to a mall and apparently my family was there too,, anyway so there was this market fair or something going on and there was one booth/table thing selling rats that had been chewing up their wires and walls so my dad impulse bought one and i was like “if you're gonna get a rat get more than one bc they need friends” and he was like “it doesnt matter im impulse buying a snake later so hes just gonna get eaten” and i was like “wtf” so he actually did get a snake, like a baby ball python so it was really small and the rat was a really big giant rat boye but the snake still managed to eat it whole somehow and yeah i was rlly sad and just annoyed with my dad for impulse buying random pets and not knowing wtf they need or how to care for them /not caring about them >:(
