Lucid driving

Was driving my car on a dark night through back streets in a heavily forested area. There were houses on the sides of the streets, but I felt a weird vibe. I remember looking to my right and seeing the towering skyscrapers of downtown LA in the distance and getting so fixated on them I started to veer off the road. I looked back and regained control of the vehicle, but I felt so loopy I thought I was high. I kept driving, even though I didn’t know where I was going, or where I had come from. I felt progressively more disoriented. I came to a stop sign and a car was coming to pass by perpendicular to me on my right. I turned right as soon as it passed and then it turned around and started driving behind me. I was trying to find my glasses so I could see better. I also turned on my high beams. I was so confused that the car following me only mildly bothered me. Everything felt so real, I felt like I had a few subconscious feelings I might be dreaming, but everything was so visceral I decided there was no way. But at this point I was so confused about everything that I decided to say it, and also because I wanted to be out of the situation. So I said “I’m dreaming”and that familiar feeling came over me. I immediately rose out of my truck into the air above it and felt total freedom. The truck just kept going but the scene changed and I started to see other things. I started asking the question “What is my purpose?” or “Show me my purpose” and I floated through several scenes. Many of the scenes weren’t clear or memorable. The most memorable was one where I found myself falling downward, and this huge sense of sadness and loss came over me. I was looking upward and saw a group of people next to a black SUV, there was a blonde woman and some kids maybe. They were on a tarmac with a huge jumbo jet parked next to them. Intuitively I felt like I was seeing my family. It was like I was falling down through the ground, but I the ground was like totally transparent glass. I reached out for them and they looked down at me. I didn’t notice much concern registering in them. The scene changed and I was still falling. This time I was out in nature, over a gorgeous expanse of plains and mountains in the distance, and a bright sun overhead. Then the scene changed a few more times, and the images were hard to understand or remember. One was a bunch of people driving in a car, I think. Then I woke up.
