I was living in a house with 6 others 2 women and 4 men. I noticed they were extremely strong and fast and they thought I was too. I was trying to hide the fact that I was just a normal person but I was abnormally stronger/faster than others but not to the inhuman way they were. They kept trying to do challenges/bets, like who can get to the top of that building the fastest, or who can punch through three layers of reinforced bricks. They saw me as super cool because I always said it was a waste of my talents to do these things when I could focus on doing my job. I'm not sure what job I had but I was doing a lot of dirty work, making people disappear, so we could feed on them. I was in charge of getting them "food vessels" so they never really argued with me and respected me for how smart I was. One of them tried jokingly pushing me thinking I'd take it easily. But in dream I was knocked over the balcony. I was able to grab onto the balcony and flip back easily, but my arm and shoulder we injured in the process. I glared at the guy, who looked genuinely concerned and a little afraid of what I may do. I got in his face and whispered, "If you try that shit again you'll be hunting on your own. And let's be honest youd get caught by the hunters in less than a week. So don't try my patience next time." Then I pused past him roughly while slamming my hand into his chest knocking him back a few steps. He tried to not look afraid but I saw the change in his demeanor, as he apologized. I walked fastly to my room, but one of the girls asked me if I was okay. I was in extenuating pain bc I didn't regenerate as fast as them, and I might need someone to reset my arm. I pulled her into my room, "Can you reset my arm gently, Jack thought it'd be funny to push me and I messed it up." She looked at me confused and giggled thinking I was joking, because even if they hit injured they'd just wait a few minutes and their body would automatically heal itself. "It's so weird seeing you ask for help boss," she said with a sly smile. "I just need to get back to work immediately, tie up a few loose ends on these last few people. I need my dominant arm to type, so the faster I heal the better." She smiled and got in position, then pointed out my new desk, and when I looked away she set my arm. I gritted my teeth and held in the yelp that threatened to escape my mouth. I thanked her, and she nodded giving me a small hug. "I would appreciate a little extra snack this week, if you don't mind. Just between us." She said with a persuading tone, she knew she was my favorite, and I didn't want her getting suspicious. I smiled through the pain, "Of course Maddie, anything for you, just don't tell the others." She nodded before promptly leaving. I finally let out a pained breath and help my arm for a few minutes. It didn't seem broken just sprained, but I would have to lay low or they would know I'm not like them. Especially Jack I'd have to be wary of seeing as he was the culprit. I sighed and started getting back to work. After a few minutes, I got my notebook and went outside thinking some fresh air might do me good. When I got to the front door two hunters started knocking. I knew they saw me, so I opened the door a sliver. Feigning confusion I asked "What do you want? Why are you on my property, this is private grounds, we don't accept solicitors." The one closest to me raised an eyebrow, and smirked, "You know why we're here, we were called to exterminate some pests. You better get with the program or you'll be exterminated alongside them, despite not being a target." I tried to maintain my calm, they knew I wasn't a superhuman, and they wanted to kill all of them. Would I be let free if I sacrificed them. The thought immediately left my head, I had learned to care for my superhumans despite the intense fear I felt towards them. "How about you leave before I take matters into my own hands." I said, while trying to sound confident and intimidating. The girl hunter just rolled her eyes and started making her way around the building, and said "Well make our own door, you've just been added to the list." I glared and casually pressed the button that sounded the alarm in a shrill high pitched sound that only my monsters could hear. "Big mistake." I said as I shut the door and started locking it and all the windows. I saw that the back door had the window bashed in and the male hunter came and tried to grab me through the hole. I reached for his face trying to gouge his eyes, but as soon as my fingers connected with his face he turned into a piece of paper matching the colors he wore. The girl started calling for reinforcements and looked at me astonished, "We had no report of you being one of them, what the hell was that?" I shook my head confused and started running through the house sending the superhumans after them. They started telling me to get to safety and that they'd take care of it, finally I ran into my girls and told them to come with me. They looked confused as to why I was so scared and Maddie told me to get to safety and shed find me later. Exasperated I started going, and Jack started following me bulldozing through the hunters entering the building like they were ragdolls. We got to the basement and he pressed a rock combination on the wall and let me in, I was going in waiting for him, and he turned, "it's okay you go on ahead, I'll help the others and we'll follow you." As soon as the rock door closed again and he was out of sight my eyes started welling up with tears. I knew that's the last I would see them. They may be superhuman but they were outnumbered 1 to 5, and each hunter was experienced and had the necessary weapons to injured them. I started walking through the tunnel until I hit what looked like a puzzle. I wiped my tears as I was completing it, as what sounded like a gameshow host narrated my movements. Finally a portal opened and the announcer said, "Leave now alive, or wait for the hunters to inevitably end your friends before coming. Or go out and I'll give you a power strong enough to defeat the hunters. But know that if you choose to save your friends the power will disintegrate your body, you're just human after all." Just as I was about to choose to save them, the announcer suspended me in time, "Just kidding, they've already been defeated, and look two of them are still alive and are being taken in for questioning and experiments. Should we keep watching them for funsies?" I started crying again and closed my eyes in refusal to watch. I was unable to do anything as the announcer relentlessly and coldly described in detail what was happening to Maddie and Jack.
