#1 Sticker Bur

I was sleeping in my parents bed in our old country house. I remember seeing the covers over me and feeling comfort. I heard their truck roll up and all the lights in the house went on. For some reason I had to get up and let them inside the gate outside. I was barefoot though and it was cold out and dark. My dad came out of the shadows, they had gotten in already so I turned around to go back to the door of the gate and I stepped on a sticker bur. I felt it pierce my skin and I raised my foot up to take it out and cussed out loud because of the pain.
