There was a flood. Strangely enough, I feel like I had this dream before. I was up on the sidewalk when I heard a deafening sound. It was an alarm signaling the flood about to rise. I headed inward towards land as the sidewalk was near the beach. Then While I was evacuaring, I realized that I dropped my phone. Stupidly, I went back for it. I know I shouldn't have, but I did. When I reached the side walk where the beach was up ahead, I saw the ocean pulse then surged forming what I thought was soon to be a tidal wave. I didn't stick around to watch it form. I evacuated, scolding myself of how stupid it was to go back for my phone. Anyway, I met up with a handful of people, who happened to be my classmates. We continued with the ecacuation route that lead us to an unpaved path that led us into the jungle. Then eventuatually. What was right in front of us, looked like a dam. There were many white walls, with one on the left spilling water into the cavity. It looked full, but while I looked further under water, there was the darkness that gave me the chills. This one girl that was with me, was extremely impatient. We were told to wait, but she didn't. I already knew what she was thinking. I shouted at her, "No, don't jump into the--!" She jumped. Her screams were muffled, as she was dragged under. That "darkness" I saw at the bottom of the dam was a hole that was draining the water at the same rate water was being spilt. Another guy jumped in to save her. He started drowning too. Then there was a third, but this time, someone grabbed there wrist, then I did too. Next thing you know, we all formed a single file line interlocking wrists as we pulled both of them out. Both of them were fine. And a few minutes later, the water stopped filling, and the water began to drain completely. Only when it was emty was when we made our way to cross. Next there was this open place filled with water. We were given these life vests to wear. It was color coded in blue and yellow, and we all got an assigned color. (We met up with another class) and this was how we were divided in. If this rule was broken, she was going to escort them home (somehow). After getting our vest, I jumped in. A few minutes in and my vest popped. I asked my chaperone for another and she agreed, but said that this would be the last time. Then I found out there was a timer of how long these were going to last. Mine was going to last for an hour and twenty seven minutes. Eventually we went to the other side, and I managed to go under water by using the vest, and we all made it to a shelter. Then it staryed raining acid for some reason, and the same girl who almost drowned now had several burned on her shoulders and arms. We had to wait for the boats before we could leave.
