Sick

A coworker noticed that two dogs needed new collars. He devised a plan to go into a hospital/research center/business to get the collars. We pretended we had brought the dogs to be pet by the terminally ill children. He snuck down and got the collars. On our way out, my coworker was caught by the manager. He couldn’t lie well enough to get us out so we ran. We decided to split up. He tried to sacrifice himself for me but he was young so I tried to save him instead. He ran and I turned to face the guards. They poured out of the building, armed. I pushed one, hoping to throw off his aim. He mocked me and I heard another gunshot. I woke before I could turn around.
