Community Around the City

This dream had many parts as usual! Let's see what I can remember... One of the first parts, I am following the story of an older man who is also a young man, in love. We're in a place that reminds me of new York and the person is meeting their love's family. I show them into a very large building that is extremely grand. Through the center up each giant flight of stairs is a platform where a dining table is being set up for a Christmas feast. There are three levels and each one is totally different. Different levels of display, different dynamics within the families, sizes, colours etc! Each one was dynamic and unique but full of love! Beyond this it's like we couldn't find our person so we went higher and into a couple of the apartments. One apartment which I think was the correct one, had two Christmas trees and a nice layout but not the most warm and fun family, but still warm and fun if that makes sense. Beyond this there was a scene where I am in the restaurant of the building and the young cooks are having fun cleaning up and there are a couple of kids around. One cook made a very yummy desert bark thing and he was teasing me with it, I got a bite but then he threw the rest away. There was this one scene where we are driving through our own neighborhood and there are just so many rough characters EVERYWHERE. Drug dealers, prostitutes, high people, rough and poor looking people. And I just felt exhausted with it (I kind of live in an area like this in real life). I asked if we could move out of the hood to whoever was driving - like they were my parents or something. We arrived somewhere and it was like a back alley kind of parking lot area, almost like the back of a drug store or restaurant. And we were waiting. I wasn't super comfortable but there were a couple other people waiting too. Not super comfortable but not afraid of anything. There was one guy there and I just decided to chat him up, but I used a totally different accent and I was hastling him and teasing him. I like decided to put on a persona to make the moment more fun. We had a laugh and enjoyed the little skit. I think people were picking up medicine or something. I felt like a kid waiting for their parent. The next part was fun, kind of connected to the New York part. I was in a massive warehouse building that also kind of felt like a basement with two guys and a couple other people. The guys were kind of cute and flirty and I enjoyed spending time with them. The warehouse was connected to abundant acres farm somehow and I was observing their storage crops and wondering why they had so little when the season had barely ended yet. We explored around, having fun, making jokes. At one point each guy was on the phone with his parents and they both were speaking a different language. I think Anna was in there too at one point. There was so much more detail than this, a little micro interactions with people all throughout the dream. Seeing so many people and talking and observing and having fun! The end ! 33
