Snake in the house

I was in a house and suddenly saw a very large snake on the rafters. It must of belonged to the previous owner of the house who liked pet snakes. I was afraid of it. Then as I was trying to get away it was jabbing it’s head towards me to frighten me and it worked. But I didn’t get Hiten because I was quick enough.
