My poor table

I was visiting a Mormon church for some weekend event or something, and for whatever reason I had this big wooden table with me that they wouldn’t let me bring with me so I had to check it in with their storage people. It was a couple guys with a pickup truck who would load it up and take it to a storage unit for the weekend and bring it back. I made sure I confirmed with them multiple times that they understood it was a very valuable piece and they could not let it get damaged at all. The whole even I was stressed that something would happen to my table but everyone told me I was worrying for nothing. When they brought the table back the whole thing was SO damaged. It looked like they’d just left it in the back of the pickup and it had got rained on a ton. Huge chunks of the top were peeling and rotting away and I was livid. I yelled at the church people a bunch for ruining my stuff but they all just thought I was overreacting.
