Painting technique

Was shown a new painting technique I’m going to try. Take an already established painting you don’t mind experimenting with, blop 2 contrasting colors in a place or two, swipe them across the canvass . Also was looking at this baby blue construction paper with blue lines drawn and I defiantly stated out loud I was NOT going to add more blue, but green to the piece.
